Middle East Alliance Legal Consultancy Organizes Awareness Workshop Entitled:

“Rights Arising from Marriage and Divorce, and Custodial Rights in Accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. (41) of 2024 on Personal Status”

As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing legal awareness and promoting a rights-based culture within the community, Middle East Alliance Legal Consultancy organized on 14 October 2025 a specialized workshop addressing the latest legal developments concerning marriage, divorce, and custodial rights, at Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority in accordance with the provisions of Federal Decree-Law No. (41) of 2024 on Personal Status.

 

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Haitham Salman, Managing Partner of the Firm, and Dr. Wael Mohammed Ibrahim, Legal Counsel, who highlighted the most prominent legislative updates related to family relations, ensuring the protection of rights and strengthening family stability within the society.

 

The workshop covered several key topics, including:

• Regulations and procedures of divorce and compensation for harm
• Spousal maintenance and financial rights
• Custody rules and visitation rights
• Legal safeguards for protecting children and preserving their best interests
• Legal mechanisms for resolving family disputes

 

This workshop forms part of a broader series of legal programs implemented by the firm to promote public awareness and empower individuals to understand their rights and obligations under the latest national legislation.
