Administrative Decision No. (47) of 2024 Regarding the Licensing of Establishments Licensed in Another Emirate

The Administrative Decision No. (47) of 2024 regulates the licensing of branches of economic establishments that are licensed in another Emirate or in a free zone of another Emirate, and clarifies the conditions under which these establishments are exempted from the requirement to have a physical office in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. This decision aims to facilitate procedures and enhance business opportunities within the Emirate.

 

✅Companies licensed by any other emirate are exempt from the requirement to provide a physical office for a period of one year from the date of the license issuance. The temporary exemption will be revoked if the company engages in activities not specified in the regulation.

 

Examples of permitted economic activities include:

1. Ship management and operation / Marketing operations management / Management of theaters and cinemas.

2. Space consulting / Mortgage consulting / Food safety consulting.

3. Metal and iron works / Artistic works for handicrafts.

4. Logistics investments / Heritage investments.

5. Research and development in the field of robotics / Research in intelligent systems / Research and development in monitoring phenomena.
