The Cabinet Decision No. (123) of 2024 Regarding the Approval of the Lists of Prohibited and Restricted Goods in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries

 

►In accordance with the efforts and strategies of the United Arab Emirates to enhance the country’s economic level and protect consumers, the UAE has prohibited certain goods and included them in the list of banned items. Additionally, the country has imposed various restrictions on other goods. This ministerial decision is accompanied by an annex detailing the lists of restricted and prohibited goods within the Gulf Cooperation Council countries as follows:

• List of Common Restricted Goods.

• List of Common Prohibited Goods.

• List of Goods with a Special Nature.

• List of Individual Prohibited Goods

 

• The Cabinet has approved the lists of prohibited and restricted goods within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as endorsed by the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the GCC.

 

• The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Border Security is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the implementation of the prohibited and restricted goods lists within the country. The relevant authorities must adhere to the prohibited and restricted goods lists within their areas of jurisdiction.

 

• This decision shall take effect from January 1, 2025.
